Release Date: March 11, 2019

Today we released an AER version of the Record of Site Condition form for submission of contamination management information to the AER. The AER Record of Site Condition form will be used to track major environmental parameters for an assessed site.

The AER Record of Site Condition form and its declarations must now accompany all contamination management submissions to the AER that were previously accompanied by the Alberta Environment and Parks version of the form.

The updated content and format of the new form will allow us to efficiently and consistently determine the level of review for remediation and contamination management files while continuing to protect public safety and the environment. This form is part of the ongoing implementation of the Integrated Decision Approach. For more information on the Integrated Decision Approach, please visit our website, www.aer.ca, under Regulating Development > Project Application > Integrated Decision Approach.

The form and associated instructional document are also available on our website under Regulating Development > Project Closure > Remediation > Remediation Regulation Administration.

Registration for training sessions on how to complete and submit the form will be available on the AER current event’s page, Protecting What Matters > Giving Albertans a Voice > Events.
