Changes to the Public Lands Administration Regulation
Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) today released a new edition of the Public Lands Administration Regulation (PLAR) Table A2: Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), which provides the acceptable purposes of and activities that may occur on public land and information for applying for, amending, and renewing public land dispositions.
Operators no longer have to wait for an adequacy decision from the Aboriginal Consultation Office before submitting an application to receive, amend, or renew a public land disposition to the AER. All land-use application types can be submitted with the preconsultation assessment, but we will not make a decision on a public lands application until an adequacy decision is issued.
