Proceeding ID 355
Canadian Natural Resources Limited
LSD 15-18-63-03W4M

The Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) will hold a public hearing of application 1880447. This notice sets out how to request to participate in the hearing. The hearing will be scheduled later, or if there are no participants, the AER may cancel the hearing and decide on the application without further notice.

Description of the Application

Canadian Natural Resources Limited applied under section 7.001 of the Oil and Gas Conservation Rules for approval to construct and operate a single well bitumen battery in Legal Subdivision (LSD) 15 of Section 18, Township 63, Range 3, West of the 4th Meridian, about 7 kilometres west of Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake (see map). The proposed facility would store produced oil from an existing well at the site. The well is a gas well that has been suspended since December 31, 2016, that would be recompleted, if the battery is approved, in order to produce bitumen. The facility would consist of a wellhead, tank, and compressor, and would be licensed to store oil containing no hydrogen sulphide.
