Application timelines report published

The AER has posted a new report [Tableau] that measures our performance against the new estimated processing times for energy development applications, which we announced on October 31, 2018.

The report looks at the past 12 months and includes information about the time it took to process each application type each month and whether they were processed within the new target timelines. It also includes the number of applications that were active at the end of each month and whether they exceeded the target processing times or were expected to meet them.  The report measures our performance against the new target timelines instead of against the targets that were in place before October 31 to demonstrate the progress that we’re making.

This information is being reported to help provide greater certainty about how long it actually takes us to review each application. We expect that we will be able to consistently meet the new timelines by April 2019. In the meantime, some processing times will vary.
