New Public Lands Disposition Application Requirements

Effective April 28, 2017, Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) in collaboration with Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) will be updating the application requirements and technology for Public Lands Act formal disposition applications. Clients will experience a new look and feel to the Electronic Disposition System (EDS) and the Landscape Analysis Tool (LAT).

EDS and LAT will be shut down at 3:00 p.m. on April 28, 2017; launch of the updated public lands application systems will occur later that evening.  

AEP has developed guidance material and training on the new Public Lands Act formal disposition application requirements that can be found on their website. The key documents for the new public lands formal disposition application requirements are referenced below.

The AER has started using new technology (known as OneStop) to revamp the reclamation certificate process and are working to include pipeline applications and Public Lands Act applications. The application processes released today will be integrated into OneStop as it is developed.
