Our team monitors companies to ensure they follow our requirements and that all releases are responded to and managed appropriately. Each release reported to us is classified as low, medium or high consequence to reflect the severity of the event. Currently, we use two different definitions for the consequence levels dependent on if the release was from a pipeline or any other source. Work is currently underway to bring these two definitions together in alignment with what is currently used for pipelines.
